File Transfer and zmodem

Lazar Dobrescu - Thu 03/05/2012 17:33:02 CEST +0200

Hello,

I've been a KiTTY user for a while now and I've just read that the zmodem experimental feature will be gone forever from KiTTY. I use this feature a lot to transfer files to and from servers I'm connected to while developing. I've read that I could use pscp to do so but it seems far inferior, unless I'm not understanding something:
- How can I use it to receive files?
- How can I use it to send/receive files in the current remote directory(or a path *relative* to it)?
- How can I use it when inside my session I have another ssh session running to another machine? It seems to always send to the machine which is configured in the KiTTY session

If I cannot do so in KiTTY anymore, and because I've read that the zmodem patch is now disabled "by default", implying that it could be re-enabled if I need it, how would I go about doing that? Just rebuild KiTTY?

Thank you!

If you want to use ZModem go to the page here

Use WinSCP instead, which is much more efficient, stable and feature-rich.
