dtach

since I use a lot of machines over flaky network connections, I really need something that keeps connections alive on the other end and lets me reconnect. Screen is not a viable answer as it intercepts way too many keystrokes which interfere with Emacs. However, I found a nice little tool called dtach which is just like screen except it doesn\'t look for in a special keystrokes in the data stream. It\'s very easy to use but, it could really use some client-side support to make it truly invisible.
Any chance of that? Answer |
