Portable version loses kitty.sav
mjm - Sun 03/08/2008 16:26:58 CEST +0200
Hello,
First off, thanks for your efforts. The features are impressive... However, I am having a problem with the kitty.sav file getting reset (v0.60.65.15p). Here are the steps to recreate the issue: Copy kitty_portable.exe a flash drive, lets say "F:\kitty_portable.exe". Via Explorer, run kitty_portable.exe and configure a session and save. From command line, cd to the root of c: and run via "F:\kitty_portable.exe". This will wipe out the kitty.sav file. It appears to be caused by running kitty_portable while not being in the directory where the executable is located. Not a huge problem, but frustrating to lose all saved sessions... Also, two other questions: As I type in the session name, all other session names are filtered / hidden. Is there a way to turn this off? Maybe this is necessary for your folder implementation? I really like the rollup feature, is there a way to make the window rollup by default when double clicking the titlebar (instead of ctrl-click or ctrl-F12)? Hi Mike
There so many questions ;-)
Get the very last binary.

When kitty_portable.exe is first executed, it creates
a default kitty.ini file. The default ini file contains "sav=kitty.sav". If I go in and remove the sav value, everything works ok and kitty.sav does not get reset when using the previous example. I also noticed a "savemode=registry", shouldn't this be "file" by default for the portable version or does it not apply ? Thanks, Mike Cyd - Wed 06/08/2008 15:07:44 CEST +0200
Corrected in 0.60.65.19.
In portable mode there is no need for a sav entry in the kitty.ini file Cyd Answer |
