Odd error with when connecting to busybox linux NAS with SSH
Sapporo - Sun 19/10/2008 00:42:57 CEST +0200
Hi
First, I just wanted to say great variation of putty! Use this as my main telnet, SSH client for most things now. It\'s great that with some very specific tweaks an already great client is now totally orsm! Recently I had a problem where I used kitty to connect via SSH to a Synology (busy box Linux OS) box. I am running latest version of Kitty on Vista. I make my connect to the NAS, get prompted for username and then password as normal and just after I hit \"enter\", Kitty crashes. I thought may it was the fact kitty was running on vista so I tried in \"compatibility\" mode, still crashed. So then went back to original putty and tried a ssh connection to the Nas box. This worked fine. Very odd? I understand that kitty is a fork of putty so wanted to ask the forum if anyone had experienced this and may be have any idea\'s about a fix or work around (using putty again for now but would prefer kitty of course :-) ) Thanks Sapporo Cyd - Sun 19/10/2008 09:32:14 CEST +0200
Hi Sapporo
I never got such a problem. Even with Vista (did you try to connect to other Unix: aix, solaris ... ?). To help you send me a memory dump of KiTTY: just before the crash type CTRL+F8. In the inputbox write /savedump then OK. And send me the kitty.dmp file generated in the directory where kitty.exe is. Answer |
