kitty.exe -convert-dir and pre-defined command

Romain - Tue 28/10/2008 09:52:43 CET +0100

Hello,

I really like the new portable version without Windows registry
But I've an issue when I used the -convert-dir command:
All of my pre-defined commands saved in
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\9bis.com\KiTTY\Sessions\SessionName\Commands]
and
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\9bis.com\KiTTY\Folders\FolderName\Commands]
are gonne:

Sessionname\Commands and Folder are not saved into directories

By the way the savemode=dir option was been updated only on the portability page in English and not on the other langues

Could you please explain me how can I add them again?
Thanks a lot

Hi Romain

Rewriting portability is a very big work. The fact is that you have the first step of this work. And we had to make quick. So we made the decision not to keep the Folders\xxx\Commands and the Sessions\xxx\Commands into the portable directory: few people uses it !
We admit it is not "cool" for some who need it, but we had to make choice. Be patient it is planed in the second step (send me your email to be informed as soon as it is done).

Thanks for telling us the problem with the update of the pages of the web site: french page is ok now. For the others (russian, polish ...) the translators are gone ... so they won't be changed :-(

Hi Cyd,

Thank for your answer and the French page update
I fund another solution for saving the commands : I will create folders in the Commands folder and save here what I want.

Yes, please keep me informed about new versions, can you see my email I the E-mail field?

Thanks again for making it completly portable, I love it! now I can have severals launchers

Romain
