Roll-up doesn't work if resizing disabled
koitsu - Mon 15/03/2010 23:11:07 CET +0100
I've been trying out KiTTY for a few days now, and I've gotten around to testing some of the features that weren't available to me in PuTTY. One of interest in the roll-up feature. System is Windows XP SP3.
The roll-up feature doesn't work if "Window -> Forbid resizing completely" is selected in the session. You see the window attempt a repaint (WM_PAINT presumably) and that's it. I forbid resizing because I: 1) Don't like accidentally resizing the window due to a mistaken mouse click near/around the border of the window, 2) Prefer an extra-thin border on the window (compare the window border sizes when you have Forbid resizing turned on vs. off), 3) Don't want the remote system being able to resize my terminal (to something like 80x25 -- yes, some software does this!), so I turn that option off in Terminal -> Features too. Basically what I'm saying is that the roll-up feature needs to work even if you forbid window resizing. Some code logic may need to be re-worked to get this bug fixed. :-) Cyd - Mon 22/03/2010 16:57:15 CET +0100
Will be fixed in next release: 0.60.66.26
