Portable - Winscp configuration
Raph - Wed 03/11/2010 09:40:09 CET +0100
Hi,
I ve found something wierd in Kitty behavior .. maybe it's a bug. When I use it in standard mode, if I configure Winscp path it s ok: I can use the "Shift F3" or the menu to launch Winscp When I use it in portable mode (savemode=dir), the menu item is grey and unusable but I can use only the "Shift F3" to launch Winscp Regards Cyd - Wed 03/11/2010 20:28:38 CET +0100
Where did you set the winscp path ?
Don't forget in portable mode the registry is useless. You must set it into kitti.ini file. Cyd Slym - Wed 10/11/2010 11:49:24 CET +0100
I can confirm that. In portable mode, WinSCP integration does not seem to work.
I've set the "winscpdir" with the right value in the Kitty.ini file. In older versions of portable Kitty this was working well. There must be a bug somewhere. I would be pleased to help you debug this one. You can contact me through my email address for further information. Cyd - Wed 10/11/2010 15:25:52 CET +0100
I'm very sorry.
The variable name is WinSCPPath now. Cyd dwarf - Thu 11/11/2010 10:35:36 CET +0100
I have the same symptoms too. Version is the normal, not the portable. When savemode=file in config, it is possible to start winscp from menu, when savemode=dir in kitty.ini, the menu is grey, and not working. SHIFT+F3 works in both cases. I tried with winscpdir and WinSCPPath too, no differences in results.

Ok
I finally was able to reproduce. Get that special build: normal mode or portable mode and tell me. Cyd Slym - Fri 12/11/2010 09:52:04 CET +0100
So, I've tried a few things :
-> winscpdir variable is definitely not working (like you said), nothing to worry about -> WinSCPPath is working on the special portable build -> with the exact same parameters (same ini file) the regular portable build is not working (the one in downloads) One last thing, there is a mistake in the documentation page : http://www.9bis.net/kitty/index.php?page=pscp%20and%20WinSCP%20integration WinSCPath needs the FULL PATH including binary filename in order to work. Not just a directory. Examples: WinSCPath=C:\ ==> NOT WORKING WinSCPath=C:\WinSCP.exe ==> WORKING Thank you very much for your help Cyd. Cyd - Fri 12/11/2010 11:16:13 CET +0100
"with the exact same parameters (same ini file) the regular portable build is not working (the one in downloads) " => normal. I've just made a beta version. The fix is not reported into the official release yet (maybe next week).
I have also modified the documentation. Thanks. Slym - Fri 12/11/2010 12:56:00 CET +0100
"with the exact same parameters (same ini file) the regular portable build is not working (the one in downloads) " => it was a double check.
Again, thank you for your work. Answer |
