local console

Hi,
one missing part of putty always was that it needed a connection to a server. It would be fine if one could just give it a local program instead of the server-name, and select something like "local" as protocol-name. Instead of connecting the server it would just call createprocess and attach to its streams. Then we would have a create console eg for cygwin and do not need to cope with the one that comes with windows.

Don't you think the PuTTYCyg patch is what your need ?
