Huge amount of activity crashed session

Daniel - Tue 05/04/2011 11:28:36 CEST +0200

Hi there,

I must say im quite impressed with Kitty, especially with drag n drop and printing.

I have a problem with KiTTY sessions crashing when there is a lot of activity in the session with the error "Incoming packet was garbled on decryption"... I had the same issue with putty... I am using this application on Win7 64bit. (This does not happen using Windows XP)

to simulate the problem, a command can be run on a unix session (depends on the speed of the unix server):
while true ; do echo abc ; done

Dont know if you guys can fix this issue?

Thanks!
Daniel

We can not reproduce this issue.
We don't have any Win7 64bit box.

Just tried reproducing the same thing on Win7-32bit, did not crash.
Also tried this on Win Server 2008 R2 64bit, did not crash.

My colleagues who has the same problem runs Win7-64bit

Some cases the session just hangs without any errors.

Dont know how you can replicate this without win7-64bit

Hello,

I got this problem too.

When program is set to stay after disconnect then it's draining cpu (100%, system is not responding well, but after while You can go to process manager and kill this process). I needed to set this option to "always exit" - then it's ok, You just can't read error message but this usually is not much important, draining cpu is not much visible then, just very very short.

Also I'm using win7 x64, but as far as I remember the problem was in vista too (also x64) and for sure it's with original putty (so it's not kitty specific).

I have few win7 x64 machines and this happens on all of them and it's easy to reproduce there. I don't think that this problem will be visible on older system.
