SSH Key Forwarding & Login info encryption/download configs?

Hi,
New to kitty & ssh, I was using putty & putty agent, but kitty is awesome!
DO I need putty agent or does Kitty forward automatically? I notice in Kitty there is a place to select your ssh private key, but what's that do? I also wanted to find out where login details are saved & I've setup the ini file so I save to files & not the registry, but is the information encrypted? If I save telnet details will they be saved into these files & is that encrypted?
I am hoping you can also point me to a way to script something so I can auto download device configs when I connect, som sort of script or tool?
