Settings not preserved when opening a saved session

There's seems to be a slight discrepancy in behaviour when loading from the saved sessions list. I have an SSH saved session with 'Set meta bit on alt (instead of escape)' disabled. This is preserved when I select the session and click 'Load' before opening it.

This setting is not preserved when I select it, then click 'open' (or hit return on the keyboard).

The saved session is clearly being loaded in some way, as the connection is made to the correct server with the correct username.

I'm not sure if other settings are affected.
