Shortcuts per session

Lavarius - Tue 02/04/2013 21:36:03 CEST +0200

Is there a way in savemode=dir to have custom shortcuts on a per session basis?
We have several servers we connect to with different function key requirements.

Thanks!

Yes
You must create a sub-directory Sessions_Commands/YourSession/Name
In this directory you create a simple text file that contain only one line:
LL\ls -lart\

where LL is the name of your alias, and ls -lart is your command.

so, with function keys, it would be something along the lines of.
{F3\1xb20~\}

?

Ok
It's only possible to define custom shortcuts for each session, not custom key mapping. Sorry.

Is there a manual that can be referenced anywhere?
Or something that describes the functionality of the ini?
What's the difference between a custom shortcut, and a key mapping if in the ini key mappings are defined in the shortcut section?

key mappings are not supported yet. So that they are undocumented.
Shortcuts are decribed here: http://www.9bis.net/kitty/?page=Shortcuts%20for%20pre-defined%20command&zone=en

In the kitty.ini I'm able to add F3=\1xb20~\ in the [Shortcuts] section and that functions as desired, is that considered a key mapping a shortcut?
I followed what was shown here: https://www.9bis.net/kitty/index.php?action=forum&id=0339&PHPSESSID=b6498acf2c0ec03df742fff84dd74b58

If you try to redefine function key F3, it is a key mapping.
It is not fully functional, so it is not documented yet (except in few forum messages), and above all it is not session customizable.
