Improving background image functionality

Would it be possible to add to kitty the same background transparency patch as in ICEIV Putty ice.hotmint.com/putty/ I appreciate especially the ability to set Horizonal Align and Vertical Align thus making possible to have a nice background image, centered with correct aspect ratio.

Kitty is great work and I greatly appreciated all the hard work.

Currently no.
I've looked at it. But this patch uses function from Dwmapi.dll. This DLL came with Vista. And guess what: at work we work on ... XP.
