auto-saving does not/no longer work with dir sessions
Alex B. - Thu 12/12/2013 10:31:57 CET +0100
Hi,
First of all, thanks for Kitty! It's a great extension to Putty. I use it pretty much daily! I'm using v0.63.0.5 with the sessions saved in a dir (not registry). The auto-saving feature: http://www.9bis.net/kitty/?page=Automatic%20saving&zone=en ... doesn't work for me any more. I remember that it used to work and it was really great. In short, I'd like Kitty to save session options when I modify them while the session is logged in. For example, when I do: start session (login) > click top-left window icon > Change Settings ... > Appearance > change font ... the new fint I choose is available in the running session, but is not remembered after I close the window. I have to either do it again next time I login, or load the session, change font, save session, then login. The above was really the only reason I was using Kitty instead of Putty (was getting tired of having to redo my changes or logout and in again). It would be great if the auto-saving feature was fixed. Cheers, Alex. Cyd - Thu 12/12/2013 11:22:10 CET +0100
The auto saving feature is only useful for registry mode, not for directory mode. The auto-saving feature is only a way to dump automatically the registry content into a .reg file.
Is you don't use registry, you can't use auto-saving. But it seems your issue is not there. You claimed you can't save a setting changes for the current session in directory mode. But on my side it works fine. I've just verify on 0.63.0.5 and every thing is ok, either in main directory or in sub-sub-directory. Answer |
