Manually changed session file can not open

Yuliang Wu - Wed 22/10/2014 16:12:32 CEST +0200

If I change the content of the session file, for example the portforwarding, the session can no longer be loaded. I need to create session files using script.

Maybe there is something special with your windows installation ?
Personally I do file modifications every day without any problem. And it works fine.

If I use Kitty to modify a session, after each modification, open the session file with notepad, I can see the "password" entry changes, if I manually change that entry, the file is no longer loadable.

Yuliang - Wed 22/10/2014 20:53:17 CEST +0200

to give a more specific example:

if I change this line
HostName\10.10.10.10\
to
HostName\10.10.10.11\

The session will not be loadable anymore

You can't change the password directly because it is encrypted.
If you use password authentication you can't change the host neither because encrypted password is the result of a mix of the password AND the host.

Yuliang - Wed 22/10/2014 21:59:06 CEST +0200

Even if I don't put any password in the session, the password entry is not blank.
I believe the password entry is the result of all the strings mix in the session file, even a single character change of the file will make it different.
If my guess is right, then I can't edit the session file to reflect changes of configurations, then KiTTY is of no use to me.
SecureCRT/Xshell config file can be changed easily, though I can't use them since they're licensed.

Cyd - Thu 23/10/2014 08:38:13 CEST +0200

No
The password is the result of password and host mix only.
If you don't use password authentication you can easily modify your session file directly. Can you send me your file to test it ? Maybe there is a wrong charset encoding.

Yuliang - Thu 23/10/2014 15:56:52 CEST +0200

Sure. I can send you a test session file.
In the session file, I defined the host, ssh tunnel and auto-command "pwd".
I manually change "pwd" to "ls", then the session file can't be load anymore.
How can I send you the test file by the way?

You can join me through the 'Contact' menu item above.

I guess I know what's wrong.
I was using wordpad to edit the file as it's easier to view(it recognize the new line). I guess wordpad will change some format control character.
I tried with notepad and it works, even host can be changed!
Thanks Cyd for the consultation.

BTW, I really didn't find a way to attach file in "contact" page.

Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword....wait there's even more Now what if i told you there was a simple Wordpress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That's right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. Seo Plugin
