username passed through too fast

I'm using Kitty to automatically login and run a command
But the username seems to get passed through too early
     "Using username "admin""
     Username:
I've tried the delay settings in kitty.ini but those are only for delays before the commands are sent.
I guess I'm hoping there is some way to delay Kitty sending the username.
Is there anything I can do?

Please disregard the above post. I found that my switch is simply requesting a username twice. I've reposted a new post addressing the question correctly
