"Start" fails if unrecognised fingerprint

As per the title, I have found that the Start button on the main kitty page fails to connect to my new servers. A blank SSH window pops up, but after a few seconds the window title changes to say "inactive". If I choose "Open" instead, a dialogue box appears asking if I want to accept the unrecognised fingerprint, after clicking yes the session starts as expected. The "Start" button doesn't appear to show this dialogue, causing the connection to fail.

I tried searching for an existing forum post regarding this issue, but trying to search for "start" brings back many unrelated issues.
