Reconnection Woes
RyzaJr - Fri 16/12/2016 03:22:52 CET +0100
How do I disable this error box that says "Unable to open connection to ... Host does not exist." on connection failures? It doesn't go away until I hit "OK" and it won't automatically reconnect until I do that.
I'm on a crappy wifi connection, so it goes out occasionally but I want KiTTY to automatically reconnect even if it goes out for an hour or something. I'm not always around to manually reconnect it, as I use this SSH tunnel as my server for reverse port forwarding. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. RyzaJr - Fri 16/12/2016 21:31:02 CET +0100
Well, I now know the "seconds between keepalives" under the connection section was the culprit. I set it to '0' now, but isn't that supposed to help with keeping the connection up?
I know about that and about the TcpMaxDataRetransmissions issue with Windows OS. So, I guess I'm now asking how do I work these two so that the tunnel is practically always up? And it reconnects when it hasn't been able to connect after a while? Hazor - Wed 16/08/2017 16:35:48 CEST +0200
I am having the same problem. After resuming computer from hibernation I get this same error from kitty and it is quite annoying to need to press the "ok" button. It would be much easier if the error was written to the kitty terminal and reconnecting would be automatic in a few second.
Error messages where user action is not really required should not use this kind of message boxes. Answer |
