100% CPU bug on Win10
Joern - Thu 31/08/2017 23:46:07 CEST +0200
SSH connection alway causes 100% CPU (curiously not the first time after a name change).
Workaround: set to Properties > Windows 7 compatibility mode. Shift+POS1 and Shift+END combos do not work (all other Shift combos work well). Other than that, it's really really nice and quickly replaced putty as my go-to terminal. Merci beaucoup for that ebp - Tue 12/09/2017 13:44:21 CEST +0200
I'm having the same issue. KiTTY is using 100% CPU while connected via SSH.

To identify which patch causes the issue, can someone test these different builds

Hi there, since I encountered the same problems, I just took the time to test all your builds. I am not sure the issue is feature specific. I was able to reproduce the problem with every build.
But first things first. I am on Windows 10 Pro Version 1709 Build 16299.19. I do open three SSH connections at one time by a batch file. So I tested the builds exactly in this scenario. The only build that seemed to be less affected by the 100% CPU-Usage-thing was "nowincrypt". BUT while all other builds opened the three connections almost all times with all three processes faulty, "nowincrypt" most times only had one faulty process. I do think you should review the part where kitty accesses setting files, since opening kitty one by one seems to work just fine. Maybe Joern or ebp can tell some more about how thy open their sessions? Cheers Lars Lars Echterhoff - Mon 13/11/2017 10:16:16 CET +0100
Oh and 0.69 already had the same problem... Windows 7 compatibility works at least as a workaround.

Please try to add these lines to your kitty.ini config file:
[ConfigBox] defaultsettings=no DMA - Mon 20/11/2017 11:10:26 CET +0100
I have tried the recommended settings of
[ConfigBox] defaultsettings=no No improvement has been observed. MOWCJ - Tue 21/11/2017 11:51:42 CET +0100
We have lot of clients using kitty portable - only compatibility mode Win7 helps reducing the 100% CPU usage in Win10 1709...
That's something that should be adressed - please! Tried also v0.70. Answer |
