The reason is some network devices do not accept receive all information at once, and we need to paste slowly in order to not oversize the buffer. I have tried changing the "commanddelay" parameter without success. Where cutting-n-pasting will frequently over-run my devices a lot of times, that feature seems not to. Admittedly I've only been using it for a couple of days so YMMV.
